It’s been a long break from the blog – but for good reason.   Recently I was lucky enough to travel back to Bimini to once again dive with the iconic great hammerhead shark.  There are at least 11 species of hammerheads.  The great hammerhead shark is the largest, with a huge characteristic sickle dorsal fin.  We were the first to dive with these hammerheads here under the cover of night a few years prior, so I was excited to see how their behavior might have changed.  Well they are no longer timid around divers - and on our night dives we had almost more than we could handle – it was awesome!
